The Do Dham Yatra is a spiritually enriching journey covering the sacred shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath in the Himalayas. Beginning from Haridwar or Rishikesh, the route takes you through scenic valleys, river confluences, and ancient temples. Pilgrims visit the revered Kedarnath Temple after a trek from Gaurikund, followed by darshan at Badrinath Temple. Along the way, stops at places like Devprayag and Joshimath enhance the experience, making it a perfect blend of devotion, adventure, and natural beauty.

Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun to Phata
  • Pickup from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun.
  • Drive towards Phata.
  • Enroute visit Vishwanath Temple or Ardhnareshwar Temple.
  • Continue towards Sersi / Phata.
  • Check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
  • Drive to Sonprayag.
  • Transfer to Gaurikund via local transport (own expense).
  • Take a holy dip at Gaurikund.
  • Begin trek to Kedarnath (15–20 km) or opt for pony/doli/helicopter.
  • Reach Kedarnath, check-in to hotel/camp.
  • Attend evening aarti at Kedarnath Temple.
  • Overnight stay.
  • Early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple.
  • Visit Bhairav Temple and Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi.
  • Trek down to Sonprayag.
  • Visit Triyuginarayan Temple (optional, extra cost).
  • Drive back to Phata.

Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Early morning drive to Badrinath.
  • Enroute visit Omkareshwar Temple.
  • Pass through scenic Chopta.
  • Stop at Joshimath to visit Narsingh Temple.
  • Arrival in Badrinath, check-in and overnight stay.
  • Morning darshan at Badrinath Temple.
  • Visit Mana Village (last Indian village).
  • Drive towards Pipalkoti / Rudraprayag.
  • Enroute visit Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, and Karnaprayag.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • Breakfast and check-out.
  • Visit Dhari Devi Temple.
  • Stop at Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi).
  • Drive back to Haridwar.
  • Arrival by evening, marking the end of the yatra.
