The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, covering the four holy shrines of Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. This spiritual journey offers a perfect blend of devotion, natural beauty, and adventure, taking pilgrims through scenic mountains, rivers, and valleys. Each dham holds deep religious significance and is believed to cleanse the soul and lead to spiritual liberation. The yatra is not just a religious trip but a life-changing experience filled with peace, faith, and unforgettable memories.

Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar - Barkot
  • Pickup from Haridwar and begin your spiritual journey with a holy dip in River Ganga.
  • Meet co-travelers and start the journey towards Barkot.
  • Drive via Mussoorie, also known as the “Queen of Hills.”
  • En route, visit Kempty Falls and enjoy scenic views of Doon Valley & Shivalik ranges.
  • Continue drive to Barkot, a peaceful hill town in Uttarkashi district.
  • Check-in at hotel, enjoy dinner, and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, drive to Jankichatti.
  • Begin trek to Yamunotri Temple (6 km one side).
  • Optional: Pony, palki, or doli available at own cost.
  • Visit Surya Kund (hot water spring) and cook prasad.
  • Offer prayers at Yamunotri Temple and visit Divya Shila.
  • Return trek to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
  • After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi.
  • En route, enjoy Garhwali culture and scenic Himalayan landscapes.
  • Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other attractions like Prakateshwar Mahadev, Shiva Falls & caves.
  • Explore the banks of River Bhagirathi.
  • Check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
  • Early breakfast and drive to Gangotri Temple.
  • Offer prayers at Gangotri Temple, origin of River Ganga.
  • Visit nearby sacred sites and admire snow-covered peaks.
  • Gaumukh (origin point) is 18 km ahead (view from distance).
  • Return to Uttarkashi by evening.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, proceed towards Sonprayag via Guptkashi.
  • Long scenic drive through mountains and valleys.
  • Prepare for upcoming Kedarnath trek.
  • Check-in at hotel in Sonprayag/Sitapur.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • Early morning drive to Gaurikund (own cost).
  • Start trek to Kedarnath Temple (18 km).
  • En route visit Gaurikund (associated with Mata Parvati).
  • Optional: Pony, palki, helicopter (extra cost).
  • Reach Kedarnath and attend temple darshan.
  • Overnight stay in camp/ashram.
  • Morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple.
  • Begin return trek to Gaurikund (18 km).
  • Drive back to Sonprayag/Guptkashi.
  • Check-in at hotel and relax.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, drive to Badrinath Temple via Joshimath.
  • Visit Tapt Kund (hot water spring) for holy bath.
  • Explore Narad Kund and temple complex.
  • Attend evening darshan at Badrinath Temple.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • Morning breakfast and drive towards Rudraprayag.
  • En route visit Panch Prayag (Devprayag, Karnaprayag, etc.).
  • Witness confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag.
  • Arrival at Rudraprayag, check-in hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
  • Visit Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula.
  • Drop at Haridwar railway station.
  • Tour ends with divine blessings and beautiful memories.
